Ferrari’s new team principal Maurizio Arrivabene says that formula 1 should have a noise that heavy metal rock fans would appreciate and that F1 needs to go through revolution in 2017. This principal took over the team in November. In order to win back fans who had fallen out of love with Formula One, the show needs to be more spectacular. he says that he would like to see cars that win over the fans and that car produce a noise that gets your hair standing on end, similar noise as the heavy metal band produce. Arrivabene agreed with a former triple champion Niki Lauda that the big changes had to be made.
Philippe Streiff (former formula 1 driver) apologized to FIA president Jean Todt because of the comments he made during the investigation about Japanese Grand Prix accident of Jules Bianchi. Streiff said that he reacted rapturously around the cameras and he sincerely regret because he made rude and offensive comments about Jean Todt, Gerard Saillant and the FIA. Streiff is in wheelchair since 1989, when this Formula One testing accident happened in Brazil. Jules Bianchi suffered from seven brain injuries and he is now in a hospital in the south of France.
Niki Lauda (team chairman) looks into the new season with concern. Even though Mercedes absolutely dominated the 2014 Formula 1 world championship. He says that he can’t understand the sport’s alarming schedule for pre-season testing. He also says that everyone at Brackley is stressed and thath there are too many things to be afraid of. Also, there is no test in the session of Bahrain as it was the previous year. Because of the low temperatures in Spain, now in February, engine makers are allowed to upgrade their engines beyond the original deadline. Also, Honda newcomers want the same position as the others.
The supreme of F1 Bernie Ecclestone tipped that Lewes Hamilton is going to win a third Formula 1 title this season. Also the 84 years old Briton said to the Sky sports television that Hamilton is going to win. Mercedes did a great job with its power unit. Last season Hamilton won his second championship with a winning of 11 of 19 races for the dominant team. He also added that Hamilton will be good as a world champion. Hamilton says that he is relaxed with the situation and he need to sign a new contract beyond 2015.
Mexican driver Sergio Perez is telling to his fellow citizens that he is expecting his best season because Force India exposed an aggressive new look for the 2015 Formula 1 season. The powered Mercedes car with a number of well-known sponsors won’t debut on track before the second pre-season test in Barcelona which should be the following month. The team will use the 2014 car in Jerez (1st February). Perez says that said that was an emotional day for him to present the car in his home country. Nico Hulkenberg (German team mate) who has scored 96 points to Perez’s 59 last season, have the same opinion that sixth-placed team could do fine.
